we were lucky enough to get alot of clothes given to us for the girls and not quite alot of closet space. so i decided to only hang up nb- 0-3 clothes. they are in newborn clothes right now but didnt want to miss out on the small 0-3 clothes. so since they have so many i decided they were gonna wear every article of clothes they have. so once worn and washed i put to the back. so i needed closet dividers. i searched online and only found boring plain ones for .99cents each but then shipping was $3.00. i was not about to pay $8.00 for closet dividers, so i started the search on pinterest.
and here is the original i found
and here are the ones i made.
materials needed:
thin cardboard (cereal box)
scrapbook paper
glue or mod podge
so i used a formula container to make the shape, 2 circles and then connected them to make the oval shape. or you could free hand it, but im not that good.
then i used a bottle lid for the hole.
i wish i had mod podge but i didnt so i just glued the scrapbook paper on but my paper was thick so it worked out good.
then i cut a slit so it could hang on the rod, added the labels with stickers, and ta-da! easy peasy :)
my sister in law gave this to me as a gift. but i had it pinned on my account and told her to make it..
she used this tutorial on how to use picnik.com for subway art. it turned out so cute and i love it!
her creation

Those closet dividers are cute! Doesn't look like it took alot of time either. And did Megan make the signs? And did she print them off? One last question; why didn't your pic come up with your post? We've got to figure this out! Thanks for your post! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those signs, I'd love to make one! The closet dividers are very cute, that's a great idea!
