Mexican Penne Casserole

Tonight I made a recipe I found on Pinterest and it turned out really good. I would like to have it again, although my picky husband said it was just okay.  Here is the link and picture from pinterest.

I did change the recipe a little to fit our family. I did not add the chili powder because I was afraid it would make it too spicy since there is already salsa in it, and I am glad I did omit it. I also only did 15oz of salsa since I just did a 8X8 pan for the 3 of us. I did still use almost a pound of meat though, even though the original recipe says to use 1lb for a 9X13--and it came out just fine.
Robert said he didn't like the "green things" in it..which was the green peppers from the Picante hot sauce..so I may find a different salsa to use next time. I did feel it missed a little bit of flavor, maybe because I omitted the chili powder..so I need to think of something else to maybe add instead. Over all I did enjoy this recipe mostly because it tasted good and was very easy to make.
